Olga Speranskaya, Goldman Prizewinner, for Excellence in Protecting the Environment

Olga Speranskaya works to identify and eliminate chemical stockpiles in former USSR countries.



"Russian scientist Olga Speranskaya successfully transformed the NGO community in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) into a potent, participatory force working to identify and eliminate the Soviet legacy of toxic chemicals in the environment." Olga's work is great model to duplicate in many other parts of the world where similar environmental problems exist.
