I wish I could have that DVD to show to my dad who does not believe in Global warming, but says he will watch it. I am upset that the NSTA would do this. The public needs to hear this. Nearly every student I've talked to looks at the facts and agrees, but no one is willing to try and contact others who can do the amazing things us teenagers are too young to do. I thank you for the movie...please help me make a difference...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13854474.post-1165536122882423482006-12-07T16:02:00.000-08:002006-12-07T16:02:00.000-08:00The NSTA posted a response to this on their websit...The NSTA posted a response to this on their website (www.nsta.org). The gist of it is that yes NSTA funds come from a variety of corporate sources. These funds come without content "strings" for NSTA to use to develop the content that they choose. An Inconvenient Truth if sent to every member of NSTA, would constitute content development by the FUNDER. I am a member of NSTA and I think they made a good choice. Laurie David can come to an NSTA meeting and put the stacks of DVDs out on a table for the teachers who want one to pick up. I got good teaching materials at the NSTA meeting I attended.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13854474.post-1165528789369120452006-12-07T13:59:00.000-08:002006-12-07T13:59:00.000-08:00Everybody has a slant to the information they want...Everybody has a slant to the information they want to share or in this case teach, including Laurie David. Having worked with a non-profit teaching association I know that funding is a problem, and that everybody has a complaint. If you get a grant or funding for something you are selling educaiton down the river and if you don't you are not serving your consitutients, and ought to make the big companies pay for their dirty deeds. Why weren't the DVDs offered to the readers of the science teacher magazine directly? All teachers get offers of assorted free stuff all the time. Did they insist on distribution without the teachers request? The whole story is not written in this article.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13854474.post-1165307000565180862006-12-05T00:23:00.000-08:002006-12-05T00:23:00.000-08:00Wow.Shameless.Wow.

Shameless.Elmohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06412196451387219611noreply@blogger.com
